Wrinkles, aches and pains, diseases, cancer are all things that tend to come with age. But you may have a bad habit that makes your body age even faster. It’s sitting. If you sit more than ten hours a day, you’re getting older more quickly than if you spent that time out of a chair. Exercising the prescribed thirty minutes a day can help, but it’s not enough to completely protect you. Experts say you need at least an hour of vigorous activity for every eight hours of sitting.
And the good news? Brisk walking is enough. Here are 3 easy tips to get out of your chair at work: stand while you talk on the phone or eat lunch, switch to a standing desk, or walk laps with colleagues instead of meeting in a conference room.
